Valedictorian 2009:
Ishan
My eleven years at
Sherwood Heights have been the most memorable years of my life.
I joined this school when I was three years old and ever since,
each day has been a fun-filled learning experience. I
treasured the challenges that my teachers provided and looked
forward to every opportunity: the Science Fair, the speech competitions,
the Christmas Concert, and the field trips.
I have made many
friends here whom I will miss as I move on to begin a new chapter
in my life. I would like to thank all my teachers, who
made such an impact on my life and have put me on the path to
realize my goals and dreams. The torch of knowledge has
been lit here and will shine brighter as I carry it forward
through life. I will remember and miss you all.
Thank you Sherwood
Heights for these wonderful years!
Valedictorian 2010:
Courtney
I came to Sherwood
Heights in grade 5, and since then I have had a wonderful experience.
Sherwood Heights has given me an amazing academic experience
that I will remember for the rest of my life. Not only
has Sherwood Heights taught me to persevere, but it has also
taught me to be a leader by having a positive influence towards
my peers. I have made kind and heart-warming friends
that I hope will be by my side in high school and in the later
future. I remember that the idea of going to a new school
scared me, but once I walked into Sherwood Heights, I remember
thinking that this is the school I want to graduate from.
There was something about it that made me feel comforted and
the scared and nervous feeling I had faded away. I would
like to thank my teachers who have shown so much dedication
and have taught me to strive to achieve. Most of all,
I would like to thank Mrs. Whitlock for teaching me skills that
I will need later on in life and for teaching me the meaning
of why it is important to have friends.
